It's all about me.

My name is Nat, and I have a passion for experiencing cultures and places different from my own. What started as a four-month solo trip through Southeast Asia has since expanded to adventures in Colombia, Peru, and beyond. Whether it is getting lost in Bangkok’s night markets, hiking through the Andes, or attempting to surf in the Pacific, I share my experiences, missteps, and occasional travel tips along the way.

Beyond travel, this blog also covers the random happenings in my life, including Short Film Sunday, a weekly series where I highlight films worth watching in under 20 minutes. Whether you are here for travel stories, film recommendations, or just to see what chaos I get into next, welcome aboard.

Two quotes that inspire me come from Daniel Ricciardo and the late Anthony Bourdain:

“Enjoy the butterflies, enjoy being naïve. Enjoy the nerves, the pressure, people not knowing your name. Enjoy the process of making a name for yourself, getting faster and faster with each lap and meeting some great people along the way. Bring friends along. Bring family along. Don’t assume they’ll be a distraction. Don’t be afraid to surround yourself with people you care about and love.” – Daniel Ricciardo

“If I’m an advocate for anything, it’s to move. As far as you can, as much as you can. Across the ocean, or simply across the river. The extent to which you can walk in someone else’s shoes or at least eat their food, it’s a plus for everybody. Open your mind, get up off the couch, move.” – Anthony Bourdain
